In order to find the ideal parameter settings and optimize the design, a digital prototype is developed that behaves identically to the real
physical system. By considering all technical domains, such as mechanics, electronics, and control architecture, it is ensured that reliable
results can be derived from examining the digital prototype. Based on measurements of the dynamics, the control configuration is optimized
and the mechanism is evaluated and if necessary changed.
In this video it is demonstrated how NX 7.5 and the co-simulation feature of Matlab/Simulink can be utilized for developing a holistic digital
prototype. Additionally, we outline, how the performance of a machine can be maximized using a Mechatronics analysis approach.
